Friends & Resources

I started my wardrobe journey after discovering Unfancy. Caroline's capsule wardrobe planner—and the fact that like me, she was in Texas—inspired me. Here's some of the blogs I read and stylish friends that I love to follow.

Bloggers

Lo, capsule-closet-blog — Lo has a cool-girl LA style that I love, and she's always delightfully true to herself and her style. She shares great resources, too.

Renee, goblinshark — Besides having one of the silliest blog names, Renee always sparks great conversations on Instagram, and I love how real she keeps her posts.

Jacquelin, @academic_aesthetic — Besides having the best collection of wide leg pants ever, Jaquelin's posts describe her teaching topics in gender, sexuality, multiculturalism, and politics.

Marielle, @marielle.elizabeth — Marielle's photography is gorgeous, but her writing always strikes something in my heart.

Hannah, @awwdacity — Hannah's feed always makes me smile. She's the sweetest, and I love her honest mom style.

Shannon, @shannydoots — Shannon has amazing looks, and I love her thoughtful posts about ethical fashion as a "not-quite-plus-size" person.

Élan, @solsoleilsoul — She has the most beautiful color scheme and thoughtful captions.

Roe, @brownkids — Roe and Erin post about life as black minimalists and vegans. Their feed is so real and inspiring.

Abolaji, @abolajiooo — Abolaji always posts her incredible outfits, many of them handmade, and I love that she's in Texas too!

Mayette, @mayetteraisa — Mayette's style is super cute, and she's a fellow bullet journaler.

Sarah, @sarahiswearing — Sarah posts her outfits with notes on her "style statement," and I always love seeing her dissect the real feelings she has behind her outfit choices.

Andrea, @acjarrett — Andrea's a super-chic violinist; I love her outfits and her practice violin posts!

Natalie, thetinycloset — A style blogger turned sustainable brand maker is always a fun story, and I love Natalie's style.

Madhur, @avividlifeblog — A rare man in the ethical fashion area, Madhur's posts are vulnerable, stylish, and beautifully written.

Jehanne, @the_professor_is_wearing — Poems, thoughtfulness, and beautiful linen looks from a poetry professor.

Raven, @heyravenlove — Raven has the biggest smile and some gorgeous looks, too.

Sara, @petraalexandra — Sara is super nice, and I love her honest thoughts about secondhand shopping, the price of ethical fashion, and her beautiful space.

Rachel, @giaochi__ — Nobody rocks an Eliz Suzann cotton canvas clay power suit like Rachel.

Christina, @calexan4 —  Christina's super simple style is always a delight on my feed.

Salina, @salina_wears — Salina has some seriously well defined personal style; her combos always inspire and surprise me!

@little_kotos_closet — This mama's feed is chock full of inspiring and powerful social justice content, and some great outfits too. Plus, she runs @buyfrombipoc.

Olivia, @theomedit — Olivia and her feed are just gorgeous, and her photos of her darling son always brighten my day.

Paola, @findingpaola — Looking for color to brighten your feed? Look no further; Paola's color combos are always phenomenally good.

Aja, @ajabarber —  I love seeing Aja's thoughtful posts, whether they're on ethical fashion or politics, and her vibrant personal style.

Van, @forevervanny — I can't get enough of Van's gorgeous feed and fun style.
